Huge Ladder Range

Since the 1960s we've steadily built up our portfolio of ladders and related access equipment products to become the largest independent retailer of ladders in the UK. We have currently over 80 products in our Professional Access Equipment brochure. However we also have a huge and increasing range of specialist access equipment for situations where a standard off the shelf ladder will not do.

At our National Distribution Centre in Cardiff we have deliveries from across the UK, Europe and the Far East on a daily basis, as well as product delivered from our specialist access manufacturer partner company, TB Davies (UK) Ltd based in Bridgend.

We've developed such a large ladder portfolio so you can be assured that each and every product selected is there to solve a specific problem or application.

Next Day Delivery

As standard we ship all our ladders and access equipment on a Next Day Delivery service to you, your customer's site or specified address in all corners of the UK. For those who demand a speedier service we can get our products to you on a Before 10:30am or Before Midday services. (Please check delivery page for qualifying products and delivery destinations).

We were one of the first companies in the UK to ship on a next day delivery service. Most of our competitors were working to a 7-10 lead time, but we were innovative and began with a 3-day service and gradually cutting this to next day. Innovation never stops and in 2010 we increased the time you had to order by to 5pm from 2pm.

Industry Knowledge

We're members of the British Ladder Association and consult with organisations such as the HSE (Health & Safety Executive) to support best practice campaigns, including Ladder Exchange. We also offer industry advice when drafting new legislation, such as the Working at Height Regulations 2005. In drafting the new Working at Height Regulations 2005, the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) worked in consultation with TB Davies (Cardiff) Ltd.

We have a low staff turnover of access equipment trained professionals that can advise you on a range of access equipment related issues. These professionals receive the latest industry news and advice to ensure that you get the best equipment to safely undertake the required tasks, whilst at the same time assured that the information and products fully comply with the latest Working at Height Regulations.

67 Years Trading

Set up in 1945 by Thomas Bryn Davies, and incorporated as TB Davies (Cardiff) Ltd in 1958, the company is now synonymous with ladders and access equipment across the UK. Our 67 year heritage is something we're rightly proud of with our customers at the heart of everything we do. This allows us to build technical and commercial relationships with large businesses and consumers alike.

With small beginnings in Charles Street, Cardiff, Mr TB Davies or Bryn as he was known began buying and selling commodities to local traders. In the early 1960s the company won the distribution in the South Wales area for Lloyds Ladders. This marked a change in fortunes for TB Davies (Cardiff) Ltd and we've remained in the access equipment market. With a growing voice within the ladder industry, we now advise some of the largest companies in the UK with their access related problems offering the latest innovative products from the UK and around the world.

In the 1980s the company took on its first franchise of a new and innovative folding adjustable ladder. The PAL ladder as it became known has since become one of our bestselling ladders. In 2003 the range was further expanded after winning the franchise for Little Giant Ladders and Xtend & Climb Telescopic Ladders. Both ladders originate from the USA and also quickly became bestsellers for the company.

TB Davies (Cardiff) Ltd now owns the brand names and Trade Marks for KIK-STEP™ and STEPMOBILE™. In 2007 the company launched a brand new range of Horizon, Summit™ & Pinnacle™ ladder products for Light Trade, Trade & Industrial specific ladder products, with ground breaking 3, 5 and 10 year warranties.

Specialist Manufacturers

TB Davies (UK) Ltd or TBDUK as it is increasingly known as is the manufacturing arm based in Bridgend, South Wales. From this purpose built 63,000ft manufacturing facility on 11 acres close to the M4, TB Davies (UK) Ltd supply a huge and growing range of warehouse steps and ladder product direct to TB Davies (Cardiff) Ltd.

We build and manufacture a wide range of specialist access equipment from new machine access steps for Tate & Lyle, through to engine access steps for a large German motor manufacturer in Munich.

We know that we can comprehensively cover all your access equipment needs, whatever they may be.
