Recap of #LadderSafetyMonth: Insights & Next Steps for Ladder Safety

#LadderSafetyMonth TB Davies

March is #LadderSafetyMonth

As #LadderSafetyMonth comes to a close, it’s the perfect time to reflect on the key lessons we’ve learned and outline actionable steps for maintaining ladder safety all year round. At TB Davies, we’ve been proud to lead conversations on safe practices, host educational webinars, and provide tools to help individuals and organizations work smarter and safer.

Here’s a look back at the highlights from the month and how we can continue to prioritise safety moving forward.

Key Highlights from #LadderSafetyMonth

1. Educational Webinars

Throughout the month, we hosted a series of free webinars covering essential topics such as:

Choosing the right ladder for the job.

Advanced safety techniques for professionals.

Real-world Q&A sessions with ladder safety experts.

These sessions empowered attendees with practical knowledge and tools to reduce risks and improve efficiency. If you missed any of our webinars, recordings are available on our website.

2. Safety Resources and Tips

We shared actionable ladder safety tips across our blog and social media platforms, including:

Inspection checklists to identify damage or wear.

Proper setup techniques for stability and safety.

Guidance on safe climbing practices and positioning.

These resources are still available online to help reinforce safe habits.

3. Spotlight on Innovations

Our team highlighted TB Davies’ latest safety innovations, including stabilisation systems, ergonomic designs, and proprietary accessories that reduce the risk of accidents. These advancements underscore our commitment to creating the safest tools for every job

Insights Gained

1. Training is Key

A consistent theme throughout #LadderSafetyMonth was the importance of proper training. Even the most advanced ladder is only as safe as the person using it. That’s why TB Davies is proud to serve as an accredited Ladder Association Training Centre.

Our courses equip participants with the skills and knowledge needed to use ladders and step ladders safely and effectively.

2. Awareness Saves Lives

Simple awareness of common risks—like overreaching or improper ladder setup—can significantly reduce accidents. This month’s focus on education showed that small changes in behaviour can have a big impact..

3. Preventative Measures are Essential

Regular ladder inspections, proper maintenance, and investing in quality equipment are critical for long-term safety. These practices should be part of every workplace’s routine.

Next Steps for Maintaining Ladder Safety

1. Commit to Training

Consider enrolling in an official Ladder Association training course. TB Davies offers a range of programs tailored to different levels of experience, ensuring that every user—from novice to expert—has the knowledge to work safely.

2. Regular Inspections

Make ladder inspections a habit. Check for signs of damage, wear, or instability before each use. Our downloadable inspection checklists can help streamline this process.

3. Stay Informed

Safety standards and best practices evolve over time. Stay up to date by subscribing to TB Davies’ newsletter and following our blog and social media channels for the latest insights and innovations.

4. Invest in Quality Equipment

Using well-designed, certified ladders can make all the difference. Explore TB Davies’ range of ladders and accessories, designed with safety and efficiency in mind.
