2012 Safety & Health Expo Sees TB Davies Achieve New Heights of Safety

May 29, 2012

TB Davies is climbin to new heights after a busy launch-week at the Safety & Health Expo at the NEC Birmingham. The launched a staggering six new products at the safety-based show, aimed at industry professionals.

The three-day exhibition is aimed at health and safety professionals from all areas of industry and featured over 100 hours of educational content. Building on the success of its Little Giant range, TB Davies has launched new , articulated step ladder
Last Tuesday at the Safety & Health Show, TB Davies launched The Cage, a fully insulated fibreglass work platform with a new auto closing gate for complete user safety.

The Cage is designed for professional daily use and is capable of incremental changes in working height from 3m right up to almost 4m. The unique black resin not only makes the platform safe for use in high voltage areas but reflects 20% more UV than conventional yellow ladders extending the longevity of the product.

Bob Baldock, General Manager said, “We are now a major player in the ladder and access market and everyone who visited our stand knows we have achieved this through a strategy of offering advanced products in a wide range of sizes at attractive price points with excellent service and technical back up.”

Other launches at the Safety & Health Show 2012 include the Sumo Stance aimed at professional ladder users especially those working on poles or in the utility industry. The new system is packed with new technology to deliver optimum safety. The patent-pending Sumo Stance outriggers also feature an innovative levelling mechanism with a full 23cm of vertical adjustment on each side for use on sloping or uneven surfaces. The Sumo Stance outriggers are completely integrated into the ladder, allowing a smooth, easy, and safe adjustment.

“While The Cage and Sumo Stance hogged the limelight two further launches, the Select Step and Lunar, demonstrated that we are constantly bringing new products to market which offer real advantages for engineers and we expect them to increase our penetration into the UK market.” said Baldock.

The Fiberglass Select Step is constructed with non-conductive, super-lightweight, super-strong black resin fibreglass composite, so you can now safely enjoy all the benefits of the Select Step while working near live electrical currents. Select Step is a 5, 6, 7, and 8 tread stepladder all in one. Because both sides telescope independently, you can use it safely on stairs and uneven surfaces.

The Lunar is the only in the world constructed with Little Giant’s unique Litewave black resin-fibreglass composite rail technology, resulting in an industrial-strength ladder that weighs as much as 30% less than ordinary extension ladders. Also, Lunar’s exclusive black resin-fibreglass rails resist fading from UV damage longer than any comparable materials.
