Tubesca-Comabi Confirm TB Davies as UK Preferred Partner

September 5, 2016

Tubesca-Comabi, the market leader for ladders and access equipment in France, has announced it will be working closely with TB Davies as their preferred partner for industrial and professional ranges in the UK following its sale to the French family-owned company Frénéhard & Michaux.

The new company will have close to 1,000 employees and is expected to generate 160 million euros in revenues. Tubesca-Comabi is headquartered in Trévoux, France and manufactures ladders, scaffolds and bespoke access solutions designed especially for the construction, general industry and aerospace sectors.

Normandy-based Frénéhard & Michaux is also a market leader in France, specialising in supplying the building industry with roofing hardware, including fall and roof edge protection systems.

David Gray, Managing Director of TB Davies said ‘We are very excited to be working closely again with Tubesca-Comabi. We have an extensive knowledge and reputation in the market for providing a quality solution quickly and efficiently. The professional range available from Tubesca-Comabi will enhance our range providing the most comprehensive choice of safe access solutions currently available in the UK.’

TB Davies is headquartered in Cardiff, Wales and supplies professional users with its own brand of ladder products alongside American super brands Little Giant and Xtend+Climb. The family owned company who recently celebrated its seventieth year is now in its fourth generation having been started by founder Bryn Davies just after the second world war.

Vincent Bigné Export Area Manager for Tubesca-Comabi added, ‘TB Davies are a very successful access equipment specialist in the UK and we are pleased to announce them as our preferred partner and welcome them to the Tubesca-Comabi family. We are looking forward to working with the TB Davies team to promote our range and expand the safety products available through the new company.’

Tubesca-Comabi was formerly associated with Zarges, who will now be operated as an independent company.

TB Davies vision is to keep professional users safe when working at height and places education as its highest priority. The company provides free product demonstrations and toolbox talks and alongside its Working at Height Training Academy that delivers accredited PASMA and Ladder Association training.

The new Tubesca range will launch in the Autumn and include several innovations, including the X-Tower, which is the world’s first industrial rated telescopic tower that can be erected entirely from the ground.
