Making working at height as safe as standing on solid ground

#LadderSafetyMonth Infographic Deaths Per Year by Category

Ladder Injuries in Perspective

Falls from heights are one of the leading causes of serious work-related injuries and deaths. OSHA estimates that on average, approximately 200,000 serious injuries and 345 fatalities occur annually among workers directly affected by falls. To put this figure in perspective, on average 271 die in plane crashes each year in the US.

The Ladder Association estimates there are around two million ladders in daily use around the UK. We have joined an initiative started in the United States to demonstrate how ladder products can keep you safe when used correctly for the right application.

Ladder Safety Month

Kick-off Meeting at Little Giant Ladders

National Ladder Safety Month | March 2022

Every step matters: From step stools to extension ladders, make sure you’re putting the right foot forward.

We’re running Ladder Safety Workshops in conjunction with Little Giant Ladders where you’ll learn the main ways to keep safe when using a ladder. Each workshop covers the following areas: Choosing the Right Ladder, Safety Before the First Step, Safety While Climbing and Safety at the Top. Each workshop session is at 3PM UK time*

Choosing the Right Ladder

One of the most common mistakes made by ladder users is choosing the wrong ladder for the job. Join us on a live session from Little Giant on Wednesday March 9th at 3PM.

Safety Before the First Step

(Inspection and Set Up) – Are you taking the time to properly inspect your ladders before starting to work? A thorough inspection must be made when the ladder is initially purchased and each time it is placed into

Safety While Climbing

The Three Points of Contact Rule minimizes the chance of slipping and falling from the ladder. The climber should face the ladder and have two hands and one foot, or two feet and one hand in contact with the ladder at all times.

Safety at the Top

Just as it’s important to pay attention while climbing and descending a ladder, it is important to follow safety rules while working on the ladder.
