Wickes Executives Set To Be Inspired By Our Top-quality Ladders

January 30, 2017

More than 550 executives and team leaders will see a showcase of our flagship products for anyone who wants to work at height safely. Wickes is hosting its Year Beginning Meeting 2017 at Butlins, Bognor Regis, on February 1st, 2017. Suppliers like us are being given the chance to promote our high-quality products to the Wickes leadership team and executives from Travis Perkins Group. The aim is to inspire the teams – helping them sell and distribute suppliers’ goods with passion and a deep knowledge of the products. It’s a unique opportunity to educate Wickes’ top staff about our ground-breaking TB Davies ladders, our expertise in this specialist field, and the peace of mind our ladders can give employers, employees, and contractors. ” At TB Davies, we are committed to keeping people safe,” said Managing Director David Gray. “For over seventy years, we have built a reputation that TB Davies can be trusted to keep a promise and our ladder brands have been engineered to be amongst the safest on the market.” Statistics

  • Research by RIDDOR shows there were 37 deaths after falls from height in UK workplaces in 2015/16.
  • Problems with ladders can account for up to 40% of such falls investigated by the Health & Safety Executive in workplaces in the UK each year.
  • An estimated two million ladders are used daily in the UK.
  • Around 48,000 people attend UK A&E departments annually because of domestic accidents with ladders.

The event We’ll be educating Wickes leaders about the importance of safety at height and the cutting-edge technology we use to design and create our ladders.
