New Lean, Mean and HiViz™ Green Ladder Range Available from TB Davies

Home » News » New Lean, Mean and HiViz™ Green Ladder Range Available from TB Davies

December 10, 2018

Lean,Mean Hiviz Green-GRP Fibreglass LaddersOrdinary extension ladders are heavy; and always have been. The leading cause of extension ladder injury is linked to the weight of the ladder—often resulting in torn rotator cuffs, herniated disks, ankle sprains and knee ligament tears from loading and unloading or carrying heavy traditional extension ladders. These injuries have simply been part of using extension ladders, until now.

Enter a brand-new revolutionary range of new lightweight ladders from Little Giant, USA. These all-new ladders feature a patent-pending green glass fibre weave that is up to 40 percent lighter than the leading competitor’s standard fibreglass ladder, without having to sacrifice strength or stability. Originally the concept was for a new extension ladder, the HyperLite Sumo, but the green ladders idea has quickly developed into a whole range including steps and podiums comprising the MightLite, Safety Cage and Stadium Step.

Little Giant’s patent-pending hi-viz™ green rail is one of the most easily detected colour hues to the human eye. Why does a lightweight ladder need to be hi-viz™? Some of the most catastrophic falls are caused by people who walk or drive into an extension ladder in use.

All-new safety features are found on each ladder. Including the patent-pending Ground Cue™, a visual and audible system fitted to the bottom tread that alerts the user when it is safe to dismount. On the HyperLite Sumo, a unique side-mounted rope double-pulley rope system that reduces effort required to lift by up to 45 percent. Patent-pending Sure-Set™ feet give users the option to use a spiked foot for soft ground or a large non-slip rubber foot for smooth surfaces. The HyperLite Sumo features an integrated outrigger system that not only levels the ladder on uneven ground, but more than doubles the base width and complies to the new EN131 Professional standard.

Great comfort and usability baked into the design of each Little Giant Ladder, including intelligent tool trays that accommodate an array of tools, powered and non-powered.

The partnership between TB Davies and Little Giant Ladders is now in its 15th year. The full range of Little Giant Ladders is available from TB Davies and its network of distributors in the UK.
