The Little Giant Safety Cage is in a class of its own when it comes to a mobile, fully enclosed work platform, which is easy to transport around the working site. Compared to its traditional alternatives, the Safety Cage doesn’t have any loose components, which you can accidentally leave on-site and have to re-order from the manufacturer to make the podium safe to use again.
Transportation & Storage
The Safety Cage can be wheeled into position via its four castors, which will automatically lock into place as soon as weight is applied to the first tread. So, there’s no need to manually lock each individual castor before climbing the podium. For storage, the Safety Cage will close down as a conventional platform step ladder and will close down to a compact depth of 150mm, and also features the Tip n Glide wheels, so when the Safety Cage is fully closed, you can lean the podium towards you and drag the podium to its next working location and let the Tip n Glide wheels do all the work for you. There’s no need to manually carry/lift this podium step around the job site.
On the Job
The Safety Cage is built for the industry and will come into its element if you or your workforce are doing regular maintenance on industrial sites, factories, and warehouses where you need to inspect, maintain, or carry out electrical work. They are available in four sizes (2 tread, 4 tread, 6 tread & 8 tread). Keep yourself and your workforce comfortable with the Safety Cage due to its large standing surface with a fully enclosed toe kick and wraparound enclosure, making it faster, safer and less expensive than many scaffolding or lift options.
Key Features:
Weight Retractable Castors
The fastest podium on the job site. When there’s no weight on the Safety Cage 2.0, you can push and move the whole step to the following working location. This means you do not need to dismantle or take apart the podium step to use it again. Simply move it to where you need to work next. As soon as you apply weight or start to climb the Safety Cage 2.0, the four castors will disengage, and the step will sit on the ground with its feet.
Non-Conductive, Hi-Viz Green Fibreglass
The Safety Cage 2.0 is insulated to 5,000 volts, making this podium safe to work around electricity. It’s not only lightweight and durable, but the iconic Hi-Viz green fibreglass increases visibility and serves to decrease accidental bumping.
Saloon Gate Platform
Climbing up the Safety Cage 2.0 towards the platform, there will be a Saloon Gate, simply push your body through this gate mechanism, and the Saloon Gates will open inwards to allow you to enter the platform area. Once on the platform, the Saloon Gates will automatically retract to the close position. So there’s no need to remember to close the gates behind you; the gates will do it for you.
