Embrace the Spirit of Giving: Support Hospice Patients This Christmas!
This festive season, we asked the local schoolchildren at Ysgol Glan Morfa to design a unique card that spreads joy and contributes to a cause close to our hearts—supporting Marie Curie in providing compassionate care for those facing terminal illnesses.
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to these young artists, Arianwen (age-10), Olive (age-9), Frankie (age-8) and Peggy (age-6), for their inspiring and winning pictures that have added a special touch to our holiday initiative. Your creativity has brightened our cards and the lives of those who will benefit from the support we are rallying for.
Marie Curie’s legacy dates back to a wartime hospital dedicated to women’s radiological treatment. It stands as a symbol of unwavering commitment to end-of-life care, groundbreaking research, advocacy for policy changes, and a relentless fight for improved services across the United Kingdom.
Did you know that 1 in 4 people in the UK doesn’t receive the care and support they desperately need? This issue escalates as our population ages, presenting increasingly complex health challenges. By 2048, the demand for end-of-life care will surge by up to 25%. Shockingly, those most affected are individuals from disadvantaged and marginalized communities.
Your support can make a significant difference in ensuring that everyone, regardless of their background, has access to the crucial end-of-life care and support they deserve. This Christmas, let’s join hands to bring comfort, joy, and hope to hospice patients and their families.
